CALL TO ACTION!
Dear friends, in light off recent tragic events that took so many innocent lives, I feel that those who can do something should.
A man who’d pledged allegiance to ISIS gunned down 49 people early Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, the deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation’s worst terror attack since 9/11, authorities said. (source)
THIS IS A CALL TO ACTION!
On Thursday evening, June 16th, around 6.30 pm myself and 50 gay/bisexual/same sex couples are going to gather together at Union Square park and share a minute of remembrance for the victims. But instead of a minute of silence, we are going to kiss our same sex partner for 1 minute. For every life that was taken, two people are going to send a message of love back into the world that is torn by hate.
My incredible friend Dennis Cahlo is going to help us film and edit and we are going to post the video on Monday. We need to live in a world of radical acceptance, where people can love, kiss and be with whatever gender they choose.
Please join our private Facebook Page event and share it with friends and family to help spread a message of support and solidarity.
We have also created a public event with just details of our call to action, so if you can’t access the above link, please use this one!
Together we can do it! ♥
P.S –> You can bring a partner to kiss or be spontaneous and couple with someone there. Come early to connect and support us in any way you can by spreading the word, inviting more people and sharing the post on my timeline. ♥
