WHAT CLOTHES GOT TO DO WITH IT.
Looking back at this project I often wonder whether the new readers understand what’s going on by just reading a couple of posts. I feel like I need to draw parallels between meditations and what it actually has to do with me were wearing different outfits. It might not seem like it makes a lot of sense.
This project is about cleaning up my mind as well as my life. But with that also comes the past.
Fashion has dominated my life for the past 15 years, so naturally I have developed a close relationship with clothing.
By doing meditation every day and by integrating affirmations into my daily routine, I’m cleaning up my mind.
By posting new outfits here every day, I explore within reflections of my style over the past 15 years. In a way, I’m digging in the past through my clothes.
Style is as bit of an expression of your inner world as well as the words you say and what you do for a living. This outer factor affects your life on daily basis: it makes you blend in with your surroundings or stand out, even to rebel. So, you see, clothes and meditation can really be tied together.
By not repeating any one item twice during my outfit posts in this project I am trying to figure out who it is that I really am when it comes to my personal style today. I have changed over the past two years and so has my choice of clothing. Regardless of how much I love certain pieces there are items in my closet that cost me a fortune and that I’ve never worn. I keep them because they also represent a part of me but I don’t use them. Do I need those pieces?
I have noticed that facing only five more days of this challenge I am getting excited about the last few looks. It almost feels like l saved the best for last. I have to admit, sometimes this was a chore to keep up every day and I’m glad it’s almost over. But I’m also very excited about the upcoming conclusions.
So, with this, I leave you until tomorrow.
